FAQ

How many fiber optics are installed and does the number matter?
We typically install 700 to 1500 fibers, depending on headliner size and desired effect. More fibers create a denser, more natural starfield, but even distribution and professional placement matter most – a well-executed install looks cohesive regardless of count.
Do fiber optics require maintenance or replacement?
Fiber optics do not heat up or wear out in the usual sense – the LED light source lasts tens of thousands of hours. No servicing is needed. Occasional gentle vacuuming of the headliner, as with standard upholstery, is sufficient.
What is the warranty on installation and does it cover the light source?
We offer a 12-month warranty on installation. The light source (LED projector) has its own manufacturer warranty – usually 1–2 years. If it fails, replacing the module is straightforward and does not require removing the entire headliner.
Is the installation reversible? What about the original headliner?
Installation involves inserting fibers into the headliner – the original upholstery can only be restored by reupholstering.
Won't the star effect distract the driver at night?
No. Brightness is adjustable, and we recommend moderate settings while driving. The light is soft and diffused – it does not create glare on the windshield. Many clients use the effect mainly when parked or in a relaxation mode.
