- Will soundproofing significantly increase the car's weight?
- Adding 2–3 kg of materials per pair of doors is safe for hinges and does not affect dynamics or fuel consumption. Full cabin soundproofing typically adds 15–25 kg – a minimal increase relative to vehicle mass.
- Can soundproofing be done in stages, e.g. doors first?
- Yes. Soundproofing can be done in phases: first the front doors (biggest effect), then wheel arches, floor and trunk. This lets you feel the difference immediately and plan further investments.
- What materials are used and are they durable?
- We use butyl-aluminum mats that dampen sheet metal vibration, and acoustic foams that absorb sound. The materials are resistant to moisture, do not rot and retain their properties for many years.
- Does wheel arch soundproofing really reduce tire noise?
- Yes. Wheel arches are one of the main paths for tire rolling noise to enter the cabin. Soundproofing these areas can reduce noise levels by 5–6 dB, which is clearly noticeable.
- Is the installation reversible? What about the manufacturer's warranty?
- Materials are installed with adhesive – they can theoretically be removed, but the process is labor-intensive. Soundproofing does not affect the electrical system or mechanics, so it does not impact warranty on those components.
